Educationists Visited Rumi Forum Islamabad

Rumi Forum Islamabad Chapter welcomed an educational delegation including Dr. Shafqat Ali Janjua, Deputy Educational Advisor, CADD; Mr. Jaffar Mansoor Abbasi, National Coordinator, National Education Assessment System and Mr. Suhail Aziz, Test Development Specialist, NEAS on a brunch the Rumi Forum Islamabad Chapter on Tuesday, August 18, 2015.

During the brunch, Mr. Suat Erguvan, Executive President, briefed the visiting educationists about the activities of the Rumi Forum. Discussing about the educational potentials of Pakistan, Dr. Shafqat Ali Janjua, who is also the Secretary of the Pakistan Education Foundation, expressed that PEF actively organizes various educational competitions across the country to disseminate universal education and inculcate a sense of learning among students. He also highlighted the essential place of curriculum in shaping an educational policy in line with national and cultural priorities of a country.

Mr. Jaffar Mansoor Abbasi, National Coordinator NEAS stated that the NEAS and the Ministry of Education and Training, Government of Pakistan are to organize an international educational conference in September 2015 that will explore a number of national and international issues on educational systems, evaluation and assessment and curriculum development. Mr. Suhail Aziz, Test Development Specialist and a convener of the conference, mentioned that the conference will be a great opportunity for exchanging ideas, meeting the stakeholders and strategic development.

During the visit, Mr. Erguvan and the visitors also discussed about the importance of social sciences for national progress and that social sciences should be promoted by means of original initiatives between the public and private sectors.
